Antique church communion tray oak hallmarked Sheffield Sterling silver Edwardian

Antique Edwardian communion tray, with Sterling silver handle and feet. (Please note: the handle looks a bit lop-sided in one of the photographs, but that is just the angle of the picture - it is actually symmetrical.) Hallmarked Sheffield 1905. The presentation plate says: SOUTHGATE Congregational Church GLOUCESTER MAY 1ST 1906
Classic design, with elegant handle.
Serves 40.

This is the type of communion ware used in Protestant churches - the oak tray has holes to hold 40 individual wine cups/glasses (these are not included - picture is just to give an idea of the size).Martin Hall & Co.
Hallmarked Sheffield 1905.
The tray measures 18" x 8" (46 x 20 cm) approx.
Height 7.5" (19 cm) approx, inlcuding handle.
Weight 1750g.

Condition
Antique communion ware, which has clearly been used for its proper purpose, but still looking good and perfectly functional.
This is a nice antique piece, not pristine but with no real damage.
The silver needs a polish.
There are cosmetic scuffs, marks surface scratches etc.
It clearly hasn't been used for some years, so if you wanted to put it back into service, it would obviously need to be cleaned first in the interests of hygiene.
