Antique jug Crescent China George Jones BIRDS Art Nouveau Victorian Edwardian
A pretty Art Nouveau Staffordshire jug, for cream or milk. Made by George Jones and Son. Probably late Victorian or Edwardian. Marked: CRESCENT CHINA ENGLAND.
It is decorated with colourful birds.
Cobalt blue rims, with gold trim.
The jug is about 5" (12 cm) long approx, including the handle.
It weighs 130g approx.
Fairly good condition.
The gilding round the top rim and the handle are worn.
Small chip on the outside of the spout, as shown in the close-up photograph.
Although it isn't quite perfect, it would still make a nice decorative item for display.
