Antique milk glass painting by Sydenham BILL SIKES Charles Dickens Oliver Twist
Antique painting on milk glass, depicting Bill Sikes and his dog Bull's-Eye from Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. Signed G.A. Sydenham. Frame is 11.5" x 9.5" approx. Weight 1000g.
Around a century old, and the picture is in good condition, but the frame has suffered over the years, as you can see, with parts of the edges missing. You might like to replace the frame, but if not, the wooden board at the back will need to be replaced or secured, as it is fragile, leaving the glass rather loose. There is also some dust etc between the picture and the glass frame, as shown. Please see photographs.
