Hand-embroidered antique/vintage apron. Made of black satin, possibly silk, hand-embroidered with peacocks and flowers, and trimmed with narrow lace. Two front pockets which are lined in red. This is a "pinny" type apron, designed to be pinned on - it has no belt or straps. The lining is made of a thicker striped fabric.
Size: Total length 24 inches. Width at the waist is 7 inches. Maximum width 24 inches.
Condition: Antique/vintage pinny, in good condition (used). The front is in surprisingly good condition. a few of the embroidery stitches are damaged, and there are a few faint marks, but nothing major. There are some marks on the lining and on the trim. There are faint lines near the red chain stitch which outlines the pockets - presumably the original guide lines for the embroidery.
