Antique Wedgwood pedestal bowl Peace pattern dove Victorian serving dish
Antique 19th century Wedgwood pedestal bowl. The pattern is called "Peace" - it features doves, arrows and olive branches. Measures 11.5" x 9" x 2.5" (29 x 23 x 6 cm) approx. Weight 920g.
I am not a Wedgwood expert, but I believe the kitemark on the back dates the design registration of this piece to 1868. There is also an impressed Wedgwood stamp, two letter Ps (possibly for Pearlware?), and a date code which I think is DFA, but the last letter is indistinct.
Condition: Antique bowl, with a hairline crack, as shown. This crack runs from the blue flower on the rim at the left-hand side, down the curved side. It isn't very noticeable, but it does mean that the bowl would not be suitable for actual use, just as a decorative item. Please see close-up photograph. Some wear to the brown paint on the top rim. No chips or scratches.
Postage: No international postage for this item except by prior arrangement. Non-UK buyers, please contact me for a postage quote prior to bidding.
