Vintage 1940s book, written by a teenage rider, as a fundraiser for the Horse and Pony Benefit Fund of the National Horse Association of Great Britain. Of interest to adults or children with an interest in horses and show jumping. Illustrated with lots of black and white photographs. First edition, published 1947. 10" x 7.25" (25 x 19 cm) approx.
59 pages. Weight 300g. Hardback.
Condition: Vintage book, very readable, with excellent photographs, and in fairly good condition. Some age-related discolouration (age-spots and yellowing), but apart from this, the pages are in good, legible condition. The covers are scuffed, with some fading, and slightly warped - this is quite common in books produced just after the Second World War, because of official economy standards, and general shortage of materials. Inscriptions to previous owner on flyleaf, dated 1947.
