Large vintage collar box leather with strap and buckle luggage storage case
Vintage collar box, made of leather. The lid is labelled "COLLARS", in Japanese-revival style lettering. It measures 8" x 3.5" (20 x 8 cm) approx when closed. Weight 390g. Probably made in the early to mid 20th century.
Suitable for gentlemen or ladies.
The collar in the photographs is just to give you an idea of the size of the box, and is NOT included in the sale.
Condition
Vintage collar box, around a century old, which has clearly been used quite a lot, but is still in good condition. The leather drum and lid are in good condition, and so is the stitching. The leather strap is creased and worn, and parts of the leather buckle covering are missing. The strap and buckle still work, but they don't look as good as the rest of the box. The inner drum is in good condition, but a little dusty. Some surface scuffs and scratches, especially on the base.
