Sterling silver backs, with the monogrammed initials DMT.
The maker's mark is SJR (for S J Rose & Son of Birmingham).
The hallmarks show the silver was assayed in London in 1946.
There is also a stamp on the wood, between the bristles.
This is partially obliterated, but I think it says PURE BRISTLE MADE IN ENGLAND.
The leather case is in very nice condition.
It is marked REAL HIDE BRITISH MAKE
It fastens with a metal clasp.
