Specialist cleaning and starching are recommended.

Nice vintage shirt from the early part of the 20th century.
It is in good general condition for its age, and has been laundered and starched since it was last worn, but that was many years ago, and there are noticeable marks from storage, especially on the front. These may wash out or fade when the shirt is washed and starched, but this cannot be guaranteed.
It might be used as it is for a theatrical or re-enactment costume, or for display purposes, but the marks mean that it is not suitable for a formal function.
Previous owners' laundry marks on inside of neckband.
