Vintage 1950s baby clothes trousers Riteward stirrup leggings boy girl 20" leg
Toddlers' vintage stirrup leggings (slacks). White (this is a creamy, unbleached white, not a bright white). Made in Britain around the 1950s by Riteward, but never used. Elasticated waist. Elastic "stirrups" under the feet. The seat is a generous size, to allow for old-fashioned terry nappies!
Size: Marked as "Size 3" - I think this is around age 24 months, but please check your child's measurements! Length (waist to ankle) 20"......waist measurement 21" unstretched, 29" fully stretched.
Condition: Vintage garment, unused and with the original pre-decimal price tag still attached - it cost 8/11 (eight shillings and elevenpence). Unsold shop stock, made around the 1950s. These clothes have been properly stored in the shop, and are in beautiful condition, as you can see. However, as they are over half a century old, they will need to be hand-washed before use to remove any storage marks, and handled carefully.
