Vintage head scarf support ladies postwar fashion accessory UNUSED display only

Unused vintage scarf support, for keeping a ladies' headscarf in the fashionable shape. This little fashion accessory has never been used, and still has the original hand-written price label attached.
It cost 4/11 (four shillings and elevenpence). Presumably made in the postwar period (late 1940s to 1960s). It consists of a curved plastic "headband" - the sort used for hair fascinators nowadays - and a loose woven "body", edged with bias binding. The body is very stiff - possibly starched?
Size: The main part is 5 inches long. The plastic "headband" part is 14 inches long, measured round the curve.
Condition:
Vintage headscarf support, never used - it was unsold shop stock, and has been stored in the shop for many decades.
It has yellowed with age, and because it is so old, I would NOT recommend wearing it, as the plastic part is likely to have lost its flexibility over the course of half a century, and will probably snap easily.
It is therefore suitable for display purposes, or nostalgia/curiosity value only.
