One metre of vintage fabric for dress-making or craft projects.
This is a tubular knit fabric with thin white stripes.
It has a slight stretch to it (widthwise, along the length of the stripes).
Tubular width is approx 36 inches (90 cm); this is a double thickness, so opened out, it will be 72 inches (180 cm).
I have washed a sample of this fabric at 30 degrees C, and there was no shrinkage at all.
The fabric composition is not marked, but it is good quality.
I think it is acrylic, possibly Courtelle?
It would be suitable for making a variety of clothes, especially sailor suits or "pirate jerseys".
