Vintage tunic shirt size 17 Gieves and Hawkes starched bib Mens formal wear VGC


Traditional men's tunic shirt, starched, made by Gieves & Hawkes of Savile Row. This is a classic bib front formal shirt, probably made in the mid-1970s.
White. Plain front bib, starched. Stud front. Single starched cuffs for cufflinks. You will need a separate collar (size 17.5), shirt studs and collar studs to wear with this shirt (available separately).

Chest measurement: 50 inches (maximum)
Shoulder to shoulder: 19.5 inches
Length, neck to hem at the back: 37 inches
Length of sleeve, shoulder to end of cuff: 26.5 inches
Length of sleeve, armpit to cuff: 24 inches
Length of front bib panels (measured straight down the front from the collar): 13.5 inches.
 
Condition: Vintage shirt, in excellent condition; the front panels and cuffs have been starched. Over half a century old and in excellent condition. Some dusty marks from storage, mainly around the shoulders, so it would need to be laundered before you could wear it to a formal function.
