Pair of bookends from Australia (or possibly New Zealand?). Made of an unusual native Australasian timber, with the bark still on. Each one has a picture of an old man sitting by a camp fire. The pictures appear to be transfers - they are not hand-painted. The flat sides have a protective felt backing. 5 inches (13 cm) tall approx. Weight 1140g.

Condition Vintage bookends. These are craft items, made from a natural wood, and are NOT exactly identical in size and shape, as you can see. They are many decades old, and there are a few minor cracks and knocks, also some marks and damage on the felt, as shown.
